Coronavirus Prevention Measures
In response to the spread of infection of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and for the safety and security of our customers and staff, Eighty Days has decided to take the following steps for the foreseeable future:
- Compliance with safety guidelines set by Tokyo Prefecture
- Allowing all employees to work from home since early March 2020
- When working in the office, each member of staff will check their temperature every morning and the measurement is to be reported and registered. There are appropriate seating arrangements to follow social distancing guidelines (a minimum of 1-meter gaps between each person). Masks are worn at all times, hands are washed often, and the office is sanitized regularly (surfaces, computers, door handles etc).
- For our customers, we provide a pre-loaded IC cash card (Pasmo or Suica) at arrival in Japan, which can be used in almost every shop and to pay for public transportation as a contactless payment system. We provide a welcome pack for our customers with portable hand soap and reusable chopsticks. Where possible, we purchase advance tickets on behalf of our customers in order to avoid crowds and having to wait in line. By doing this, we ensure our customers have a scheduled entrance time and date. Our guides will be wearing masks and carrying extras in case the customers might need it. We recommend customers to have reusable/washable masks. We will also provide them with hand sanitizer and hand soap during the touring.
- We ensure that our suppliers also comply with the guidelines set by the government in regards to sanitation, ventilation and health verification procedures for their crew members and staff.
